Root Radius came to Foundation Center-Atlanta for the first time this spring and wowed their class and all of us here at the Center with their knowledge, their energy and their dedication to making sure people left motivated and understanding, step-by-step, what they needed to do next. They presented that Spring fundraising workshop for the Atlanta Chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, our next Atlanta nonprofit leaders, and a tough group to impress. And impress YNPN Root Radius did, along with all of us on Center staff. We immediately talked with Root Radius about a training collaboration.
End of the Year Campaigns – is the subject matter of our first venture together and we are very excited about what we see in Root Radius’ presentation. The class will take place on Thursday, August 20 from 9am to noon. The most important thing about this presentation – Root Radius trainers make the material understandable, and most important, useable. Thinking about end of the year campaigns usually gets put off, well, until almost the end of the year. We wanted to get this information and assistance out to you before the Fall, when things begin to heat up in the nonprofit world and we all get too busy to think. Taking this class in August gives you plenty of time to plan and prepare a well-thought out, coordinated, attention grabbing campaign; a campaign that will highlight the best of what you do all year, thereby reassuring your funders that they have made a smart investment in their community through you and should continue to do so.
During this workshop, we’ll network and learn from other like-minded leaders, working through:
* The key ingredients of an end-of-year campaign
* The classic storytelling framework
* The marketing channels to tell your story
* The long-term action you want your audience to take
