Preparing For The Next Season of Fundraising

As we sit on the cusp of summer, those of us charged with raising money are always at least one season ahead.  We are already thinking about fall, about end of the year campaigns, about fall deadlines for the last of 2015 funding opportunities and the beginning of the 2016 grants season.

To help you get ready for the fall and the next cycle of proposal deadlines, Foundation Center-Atlanta is holding a three-day Proposal Writing and Budgeting Boot Camp on Wednesday through Friday, July 28-30We are very pleased that Boot Camp champ, our most experienced Boot Camp trainer, Leeanne G-Bowley will lead the facilitation.  I will join her, mostly working with participants on the budgeting portion of the Boot Camp.

One of the best outcomes of recent Atlanta Boot Camps has been the ongoing communication between participants. Boot Camp participants have formed LinkedIn groups. They have continued to support each other with advice, suggestions about resources, and have continued to share their real-life fundraising experiences, both good and bad. We know July Boot Camp participants will want to do the same and we will do everything we can to facilitate this on-going communication and collaboration.

The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is offering scholarships for this Boot Camp. Foundation Center is very grateful for their support of this program. If you are interested in applying you can get started here.

We hope you will join us for this fun, intense learning and networking experience. We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you. You can learn more and register here. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at: lm@foundationcenter.org or get in touch with Michael Lang, who handles all the logistics for our national training and will be your contact for any questions about registration or materials.
