Foundation Center has a global network of more than 400 libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit resource centers that, for more than 50 years, has been bringing vital funding data and knowledge to communities that might not otherwise have access. The Funding Information Network (FIN) program packages are nonprofit outreach “in-a-box”, enabling community organizations to become nonprofit funding experts. Packages include access to our world-class database, Foundation Directory Online, product and training certification courses, and support materials to assist the local nonprofit community.
Why Are Foundation Center Resources Needed In Communities?
Foundation Center strives to reach under-resourced and underserved populations throughout the United States and in locations around the globe by equipping organizations with the information and training needed to become successful grantseekers.
Did you know that ninety percent of U.S. foundations don’t have websites? Regular search engines cannot locate these funders, but with Foundation Directory Online (FDO), you can discover information on all 140,000 U.S. foundations at our FIN partner locations (listed below) - for free. It’s the smartest, fastest way to getting more funding and finding additional resources - helping you build your nonprofit’s strength and sustainability.
In North Carolina alone, there are 14 FIN partners, while South Carolina has seven. Each partner site provides access to FDO and Foundation Center’s resources for free.
